- Calendars with one-off (non-recurring) events.

“Mayday” Preview (demiblog 0.1.0)
“Mayday” is the first preview of what will become demiblog 1.0. It is far from a complete usable content management system, and I do not recommend its usage on a live, production site. I provide it merely as a preview, for those who are interested, of what is yet to come.
That said, I have been using even earlier versions to run my own website for a few weeks now.
- Supported backend databases: PostgreSQL 8.x. (PostgreSQL 7.x may also work, but has not been tested.)
- Content may be published in HTML 4, HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.0 or HTML 1.1, with experimental support for ISO HTML, HTML 5 and XHTML 2.
- Normal pages of content (“Articles”).
- Blog entries (“BlogArticles”).
- Yearly, monthly and daily archives of BlogArticles.
- Categorisation (“Tags”) of Articles and BlogArticles.
- Visitor comments (“Comments”) on Articles and BlogArticles.
- User signups — visitors can sign up to the website for various extra features. (Though these extra features don’t exist yet!)
- Feeds provided in RSS 0.91, RSS 1.0 (RDF), RSS 2.0, Atom, iCalendar, hCalendar (HTML), Text (CSV), JSON and PHP Serialised Object formats.
- Feeds of comments on a per-Article/BlogArticle basis.
- Feeds of Articles and BlogArticles on a per-Tag basis.
- Feeds of BlogArticles on a chronological basis.
- Support for plugins; a number of plugins are included.
Mayday is based on revision 407 from the SourceForge subversion repository. Download it from SourceForge file releases, and while you're there, sign up for the announcement list to keep up to date with future releases.
Coming Soon
The next release is planned for September 2007 and should include the following extra features:
- Trackback and Pingback support.
- UI for adding/editing articles.
- Bugfixes and other minor improvements.
Until then, the latest version is always available in the demiblog subversion respository.
